Large old barn door – 18th century – fully restored – 177 x 15

Authentic old door from a barn built in the early 1700s. This piece has undergone a complete and meticulous restoration, respecting its history and original aesthetics. The aim was not to modernise it, but to restore its perfect stability while preserving its authenticity and old patina. The structure has been fully reinforced to allow for immediate use. The old fittings have been treated against corrosion and then varnished. The modern fixing elements necessary for the restoration have been refurbished, aged, and discreetly integrated to avoid any visual disruption or anachronistic appearance. The lower board, entirely original, has been carefully re-glued, planed, and sanded to preserve as much old material as possible. It has a very beautiful architectural presence and superb natural wood patina. Dimensions: • Height: 177 cm • Width: 157.5 cm • Centre-to-centre of lower fittings: 152.5 cm.
