Anthroposophic Dining Table in Tigerwood 1930s/40s

Unique anthroposophic dining table from the 1930s/40s. The table is handmade of solid tropical hard wood, most likely tigerwood and is incredibly well crafted. It has drawer on each short side of the table. This is a very special find, a true collector's item. Anthroposophy was a philosophy created by rudolf steiner (1861-1925) an austrian philosopher, scientist and artist. His philosophical concept was founded on the idea that human intellect is capable of communicating with a spiritual realm. Steiner built approximately thirteen buildings that expressed his philosophy. Aesthetically, the movement took established silhouettes and morphed them into warped geometries often comprised of multifaceted angular surfaces. The table is in good condition with some traces of use. It has a tiny wood damage on the top of a leg (second last picture) and a lacquer damage on the top (last picture). Futhermore the table is amazing.
