Description
Plate of the earthenware factory saint jean de bretagne, 50s, diam: 22, 50cm. The pottery opened in 1951 in morbihan land of potters for centuries, it closed its doors in 1989 following a fire after employing up to 80 people. Half were decorators, the sets being hand painted and signed on the back of their initials with the set number. Here geometric shapes inspired by celtic and breton motifs.
