Vintage blue painted Ercol sideboard

This is a stylish vintage sideboard from ercol, a timeless piece which is well made from elm and mixed woods. The sideboard has all of the features synonymous with ercols classic designs, including panelled doors, sliding wooden door catch and raised dowels to the top. It will make a lovely addition to any home and will add a finishing touch of colour to any room. The sideboard has two panelled doors to the front which are set under two spacious drawers. The doors open to reveal a single shelf which is quite shallow, allowing bottles to be stood to the front of the cupboard. The top has gently rounded edges and raised dowels and the base is set on simple block feet. I have hand painted the base in my own mix of deep dusky blue eggshell paint which I call 'poets blue'. The paintwork is solid colour and has been left undistressed for a clean and contemporary look. The finish has been waxed for protection and has a low sheen. The top of the sideboard has been stripped back to the natural wood and finished with danish oil, it has a nice natural looking smooth sheen. Condition. The sideboard is in very good condition with minor marks of age and use. The top has some very slight variations in colour. Measurements. Height- 85cms. Width- 124cms. Depth- 48.5cms.
