Pair of armchairs designed by isamu kenmochi, circa late 1960s. These armchairs perfectly embody the style of modernist japanese design. Their bentwood structure creates a continuous line between the armrests and the base, giving the armchair a soft and fluid silhouette. The seat, generously padded and covered in a textured green fabric, provides comfort and sobriety. Kenmochi revisits here the shapes of pre-war japanese chairs, in a resolutely modern spirit, typical of the 60s and 70s. A beautiful synthesis between artisanal tradition and modernism.
