Solid elm coffee table

This unique coffee table is carved directly from a massive piece of elm with pronounced concentric grain and natural contours. Its exceptionally thick top (13.5 cm) retains the raw bark and natural cracks of the wood, stabilised authentically. Mounted on a flared tripod base in a "compass" style, it fits perfectly into the brutalist and chic chalet trends of the 1960s–1970s. In good vintage condition, with original time-worn patina and natural wood cracks that enhance its unique character.
