Vintage fibreglass planter – modernist design – Willy Guhl style

Rare vintage fibrecement jardinière from the mid-20th century (1950s–1960s), featuring a highly graphic modernist design. Square in shape, it showcases beautiful vertical fluting and a moulded upper rim, characteristic of European fibrecement productions from this period, reminiscent of Swiss designer Willy Guhl (Eternit). The thick, mineral material provides a strong sculptural presence. The jardinière retains a superb original patina, with traces of several layers of old paint (green and white), adding an authentic and highly sought-after decorative character. The overall structure is in excellent condition: no cracks, no breaks, with a pierced bottom for water drainage. A heavy and stable object, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
