Modernist Rattan Cabinet Netherlands 1930s

Great modernist cabinet made in the Netherlands 1930s. It has a wooden structure trimmed with bamboo at the edges and rattan at the sides, the door and the top. The glass top sits beautifully recessed on the rattan top. On the left it has 2 shelves and behind the door it has 1 shelf. The cylindric wooden handle is a typical modernist feature. The cabinet has a sleek design with colonial influences, where the natural materials rattan and bamboo can be seen as a reflection of the colonial influence. The cabinet is in good original condition with a lovely patina. No damages. The hinges are renewed some time ago.
