Yellow baoulé fabric cushion cover

Cushion cover in blue and yellow baoulé fabric. Baoulé fabric is hand-woven in Côte d'Ivoire only by men. It is woven in strips of about 15 cm assembled to each other to form a loincloth of 1.80 m. Weavers can be seen along the roads between the communes of Yamoussoukro and Bouaké en Ci. I bought this fabric on the spot and asked a local seamstress (pink) to sew this beautiful cushion cover. There are others for sale on my shop! Because of its artisanal manufacture there may be small design flaws. Thus irregularities such as discolorations or fringes are not defects, but testify to the uniqueness of Baoulé creations and craftsmanship. The cover is 90 grams and 44cm by 44 cm. With pink we decided not to put a zipper but a wallet closure: so there will be no problem of zipper getting stuck or derailing! Because of the artisanal design of the baoulé fabric I recommend a dry wash.
