Yellow Baoulé fabric cushion cover

Cushion cover in blue and yellow Baoulé fabric. Baoulé fabric is hand-woven in Ivory Coast by men only. It is woven in strips of about 15 cm assembled together to form a loincloth of 1.80 m. We can observe the weavers along the roads between the communes of Yamoussoukro and Bouaké in the Ivory Coast. I bought this fabric on site and asked a local seamstress (pink) to sew this magnificent cushion cover. There are others for sale in my shop! Due to its artisanal manufacture, there may be small design defects. Thus, irregularities such as discoloration or fringes are not defects, but testify to the unique character of Baoulé creations and craftsmanship. The cover weighs 90 grams and measures 44cm by 44cm. With rose we decided not to put a zipper but a wallet closure: this way there will be no problem of zipper getting stuck or derailed! Due to the artisanal design of the baoulé fabric I recommend dry cleaning.
