The border is characterised by a continuous frieze of jagged triangles (a so-called sawtooth pattern), typical of traditional kilims. The colour palette is rich and contrasting, blending blue, turquoise, yellow, green, white, black, and touches of brown, likely obtained from natural dyes. The rug is a flat weave (without pile), with fringes at both ends, showcasing artisanal craftsmanship. Overall, it displays good weaving consistency and vibrant colours, indicating a satisfactory state of preservation. This kilim was intended for domestic use (rug, hanging, or cover) and reflects a tribal tradition where geometric patterns often hold symbolic value related to protection, fertility, or prosperity.
