Large decorative column in richly carved wood

Large decorative column richly carved, in walnut-stained beech. The base at the base is octagonal in shape ensuring very good stability. The shaft is baluster-shaped. The top of this column is flat, which can accommodate a statue or other object period: late 19th century octagonal support 30 cm X 30 cm height 139 cm.
