Superb floral floor lamp in brass and Capiz shell – 1970s. This sculptural floor lamp stands out with its lush floral aesthetic. The main structure is made of gilded brass, whose shine adds a very elegant touch. It consists of three elongated stems, mimicking flower stems, adorned with textured-finish carved leaves, enhancing the organic and delicate effect of the whole. The "flowers" are made of spherical globes crafted from Capiz shell, a natural material with iridescent reflections that was highly prized in the 1960s and 70s for its translucency and softness. The globes are segmented by a fine golden mesh in the shape of scales, giving them the appearance of stylised seashells or chrysanthemums. The entire piece rests on a stable and discreet circular brass base, with a foot switch (visible in the photo), typical of vintage lighting. Brass and shells in perfect condition. Height 178cm. Diameter of the flowers 16cm.
