Neoclassical torchère floor lamp in brass and opaline - 1950s/60s

Elegant large vintage torchère floor lamp, probably from the 1950s-1960s, in the neoclassical / Hollywood Regency style. It consists of a long fluted column in gilded brass, resting on a circular base, and a large opaline glass bowl that diffuses a particularly soft and warm light. The craftsmanship of the column, the brass details, and the slender proportions are characteristic of mid-20th century neoclassical lighting. The lighting system is functional. Overall very good vintage condition. The brass has a lovely patina and some minor marks related to time and use. The opaline glass bowl is in good condition. Height: 180 cm. Diameter of the bowl: 26 cm. Diameter of the base: 30 cm. A particularly decorative piece, as beautiful when off as when lit.
