Terracotta bust representing Bacchus by the famous sculptor André Cavacos. Our sculpture is signed Cavacos for André Cavacos, who was a well-known figure in the art colony of Paris in the early 20th century. He is notably tasked with creating portraits of a number of notable citizens, such as Mistinguett, Bucot, and Marcelle Ragnon. In 1925, Cavacos received the silver medal at the famous International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris. Our bust rests on a square base decorated with a cantharus cup. Our bust is in perfect condition. Circa 1930.
