School desk

Here is a small desk that has already lived a good life. Made in the 1930s, it has served many children, including my grandmother, my aunts, and then my brother and me. After transitioning from wood to colour, it has regained its original colour: light wood. Given its age, it bears some marks from past makeovers, which further highlights its history. The wood has been protected with two coats of varnish. To give it a more contemporary look, the sides and drawer are painted in "futaie green" from COLIBRI and "trellis green" from LIBERON, then varnished. A small knob on the drawer completes its elegance. As for the chair, it too has undergone a complete makeover. It was entirely painted. It has been fully sanded, including the metal frame, to reveal the wood of its seat. After a primer to protect the metal, the chair has been painted in "futaie green" from COLIBRI and then varnished for added protection.
