Romeo Rega coffee table

Magnificent Romeo Rega coffee table. My parents bought it at a design fair in Milan in 1972. This heavy, no-snag table is in very good condition; it was in their mountain chalet, which we emptied. Made of brass and smoked glass (not glass, but dark mirrors) on both levels, it gives the table a crazy look. The smoked glass plates are slightly beveled with very slight signs of age at certain angles, but imperceptible except when the glass is removed. A superb vintage piece. 40 mm round brass legs and rim with tarred reinforcements at the glass locations, which look great. Dimensions in mm. L 1150 / l 550 / h 420. Between the two levels 250. From the ground the first level is at 150. Slight downside my mother used to put feet in socks on the gilded brass bar at the bottom and in some places the "gilding" has faded but frankly when you see the table that's not what you notice but its workmanship.
