We offer for sale this very rare and highly sought-after bergère chair in the Thomas Chippendale style, circa 1900-1920, carved with Claw & Ball feet and a hand-dyed cigar brown leather seat. A well-crafted and executed piece of English furniture, in the Chippendale taste with a high level of characteristic carving. The bergère backrest and seat are in hand-dyed leather. It can serve as an office chair or a decorative occasional chair. The wood is waxed and polished with a beautiful vintage patina due to age and use. Dimensions (at the widest point): Height 102 cm, Width 60.5 cm, Depth 63.5 cm, Seat Height 49 cm. Please refer to the very detailed photos for the condition, which shows a natural patina with cracks, creases, and wear on the leather. Regular waxing is recommended to maintain the moisture of the leather. Do not expose the dyed leather to prolonged direct sunlight to avoid drying and discolouration.
