A vintage piece of furniture like this is hard to come by... this 1950s-60s oak boarding school wardrobe comes from an old school in Yvelines and allowed the boarders to store their belongings in the dormitory. Asymmetrical, the left side contains a tall shelf and a hanging space. The right side has a closed compartment at the bottom equipped with a sliding drawer and a shelf, along with a high section with shelves. In the style of Jacques Hitier, this wardrobe consists of a large solid oak and veneered case mounted on a black tubular metal base. It has been fully cleaned, sanded, and then protected with a care oil to nourish, protect, and enhance its beautiful light oak wood. It retains its lovely golden metal handles and the small device for securing a padlock on the large door. Once a boarding school wardrobe, this unique piece of the past, highly practical and now very rare, would be ideal in an entrance or a bedroom... In any case, this magnificent vintage wardrobe will make a wow effect and delight lovers of vintage, design, Scandinavian school, and industrial furniture...
