Under the leadership of the art critic henri héraut, in 1935, he joined forces with rohner, henri jannot, jean lasne, raymond moisset, the canadian alfred pellan and pierre tal-coat to found the forces nouvelles movement which advocated the return to drawing, the return to the conscientious craft of tradition in fervent contact with nature. His painting has the particularity of being tinged with humor; through nudes, landscapes, still lifes and characters, humblot wishes to express the destiny of the world.
