Ancient large copper sheet platter

Octagonal copper tray with a beautiful warm copper hue and natural patina. The finely engraved vegetal arabesques, displayed both in the centre and along the edges, evoke Persian decorative traditions and Middle Eastern craftsmanship. The engraving reveals an ancient patina where the verdigris subtly highlights the recesses, enhancing the depth and richness of the pattern. The sheet, slightly hammered in places, remains stable and perfectly functional while retaining its artisanal character. The underside of the tray bears intriguing marks, stamps that could be old punches or, more likely, ink transfers from newspapers or ancient documents, adding a veil of mystery and history to this piece.
