French modernist table lamp attributed to Jacques Adnet, produced in the 1940s. The lamp features a polished nickel-plated mushroom shade resting on a crystal glass base. The combination of clean geometric lines and refined materials is characteristic of French modernist lighting from the period. The wide dome provides a warm, downward light, while the transparent column gives the design a light and balanced appearance. The tilted shade directs the light naturally while giving the design a distinctive asymmetrical profile. Unsigned, but attributed to Jacques Adnet on the basis of its design, proportions and construction. Good vintage condition. Wear and scratches to the nickel plating on the shade.
