Portuguese Music/Jewellery Box

For the first time I found a jewelry box, a music box with a dancer of portuguese origin. Honestly, it's new to me. It is of portuguese origin because the base still has the stamp with the manufacturing mark - ambar, made in portugal. In fact, this brand, very famous in portugal, produced many decorative objects, many curiosities until the end of the last century, when it became extinct. I had a hard time photographing this jewelry box because of the interior mirror. If you need new photos, don't hesitate to contact me and I can send them. This small jewelry box, or music box with a ballerina, is made entirely of wood and covered in black synthetic material, engraved with a very colorful floral pattern. The edges of the lid are reinforced with chromed metal strips, as are the four metal feet. The base, where the rope is located, is covered with a gray velvety paper or cardboard protection. The interior has a bevelled mirror on the lid and the entire interior, where the dancer appears, is covered in a very fine red velvet and divided into three sections (see photos). It has a key and therefore can be completely closed. The rope is at the base. Let's say this is the description of the music box. However, I want to draw attention to the detail of the dancer, the dancer section is removed, it can be removed and adjusted again (please see the photos). It also seems to me to be useful if it needs to be repaired. In other words, sometimes the dancer doesn't seem to have the right movement, which makes it even more interesting. But it is working properly. This jewelry box is also a unique music box. It is in good vintage condition. For those looking for a different piece, this jewelry box will certainly be interesting. However, this box shows wear and tear from time and use. In addition to the detail on the dancer's section, the mirror is a little yellowed and has age spots. It has been cleaned and cared for, but the wear and tear of age does not forgive.
