Antique Clothes Press, Netherlands, 1650s

The elegance of this baroque wardrobe is due to the simplicity of the royal panels with semi-circular arches, narrow sides, and deep cornices. This freestanding wardrobe with bun feet is typical of Utrecht, Holland, between 1630 and 1650. It is depicted in the painting "De linnenkast" (the "linen press") by Pieter de Hooch in 1665. The wardrobe is delivered disassembled and must be assembled on site.
