12 flat plates Enoch Wedgwood "Asiatic Pheasants"

Set of 12 english flat plates, model "asiatic pheasants". Blue on white camaïeu decoration representing two pheasants in flight in the middle of lush flowers; border slightly hectic. Made in england from the 1970s and 80s, taking up one of the great classic sets of english 'transferware' of the previous century. Ten plates are stamped "enoch wedgwood (tunstall) ltd", two "unicorn tableware" and the twelve "the original manufacturers of 'asiatic pheasants' / founded in 1835 / made in england / a genuine staffordshire hand-engraving / decorated underglaze / detergent and acid resisting colours". They are identical (material, decoration, color, etc.) with only one difference: the diameter of the two unicorn plates is slightly smaller by 5mm. No scratches or traces of friction; a shard at the edge of a plate, a small chip and a discreet ginning on the back of a plate (see detailed photos). A large set of beautiful quality, in very good condition. Diam. 25 cm.
