A sculptural pair of Swedish mid-century modern brass table lamps by Aneta, featuring stacked globe (bobbin) stems and new architectural linen shades. This refined pair of Swedish brass table lamps was produced by Aneta, the post-war lighting manufacturer founded in 1947 that became a key contributor to Scandinavian modern interiors. Dating to circa 1960, the lamps embody the era’s emphasis on clean geometry, material honesty, and functional elegance. Each lamp is constructed in solid brass and articulated as a vertical sequence of graduated spherical “bobbin” elements, rising rhythmically from a wide circular stepped base. The repetition of polished brass orbs creates a column-like silhouette — sculptural yet restrained — balancing decorative presence with Nordic clarity of form. The brass retains its original surface with a natural patina consistent with age. Minor dings and small dents are present and visible in the detailed images, commensurate with decades of use, but do not detract from the overall impact. The lamps are fitted with newly made tall architectural linen shades in a soft neutral tone. Their crisp vertical pleating enhances the columnar profile while tempering the reflective warmth of the brass, creating a harmonious contrast between shine and texture. Equally at home in Scandinavian modern, modern classic, or restrained Hollywood Regency interiors, the pair offers height, symmetry, and material richness without excess ornament.
