Le Corbusier armchair, B9 by KOHN, 1910 cane

Kohn armchair known as “b9”, or “le corbusier”…this one dates back to 1910. When it was created, it was classified as an office armchair (n°712 at kohn from 1898, then n°9/109 at thonet from 1904), it became a classic of bistro furniture and a “universal” seat manufactured by all manufacturers in europe. It was when le corbusier rediscovered it in 1920 that he took that of the architect as his usual name. Seat in very good condition, beautiful ''blond mahogany'' patina under shellac. New manual cane (2.4/2.2mm), professional sr, cane from germany. Diameter: 45 cm, total width: 59 cm, seat height 47 cm, total height: 79 cm stamp and label on the back of the seat.
