Pastoe Ruster Armchair by Yngve Ekstrom - Mid-Century Modern Design

An exceptionally beautiful and restored designer armchair, designed by Yngve Ekström. Pastoe imported these armchairs and added them to its collection. The magnificent and very comfortable Ruster armchair, designed by the renowned Swedish designer Yngve Ekström for Swedese and marketed in the Netherlands by the renowned Pastoe company. This low-backed model, known as the women's model, was part of the Mingo series and was designed for Swedese in Sweden. This model also appeared in Pastoe catalogs in the 1960s under the name FT08, a series of very modern Scandinavian furniture. A very rare example, made of oak. An antique model, still in fully assembled condition, with only two screws on each side instead of four, and no additional crossbars. Restored to like new, using the highest quality materials and by the finest craftsmen, the new upholstery is as dense, if not denser, than the original. The padding has been completely replaced with high-quality foam, in the appropriate quantity, preserving the original appearance while providing contemporary and comfortable seating.
