Original work by the master Gino Romiti (Livorno, 1881-1967). Oil on hardboard, titled "Tombolo" on the back. The Tombolo area covers approximately 5, 000 hectares in the southern coastal strip of the park, between the Arno and the Calambrone outlet. It is characterised by a mix of dense forests and agricultural areas, and along the coast, by the presence of villages (Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, and Calambrone). Signed at the bottom left. Lacquered and gilded frame. Work from the late 1940s, with its original frame. Frame dimensions: 55 X 45 cm; artwork dimensions: 40 X 30 cm. Gino Romiti (Livorno, 1881-1967) was trained in the workshop of master Guglielmo Micheli, received advice from Giovanni Fattori, and became friends with Modigliani. The artist's preferred themes were the pine forests of Ardenza, near Livorno, gardens, flowers, country paths, and marine backgrounds. He participated in the Venice Biennale in 1903, 1913, 1924, and 1952, and in the International Exhibition in Rome in 1914. In 1920, along with other Livorno artists, he founded the "Gruppo Labronico, " of which he was president from 1943 to 1962. In 1926 and 1927, he exhibited at the 80th National Exhibition at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
