Solid Oak Coffee Table

Made from quality oak from a private forest in normandy, this coffee table is entirely handmade by me and my partner, with careful attention to design and using exclusively artisanal techniques. Part of my gouvernail series, it features a rounded rectangular top with some knot cavities and rests on four sturdy legs. Each piece is cut, shaped, then carefully selected and arranged to respect the natural pattern of the oak, ensuring that the table is unique and aesthetically pleasing. It follows my trademark with meticulously hand-carved, sanded and smoothed edges, bringing refinement, softness and sophistication to the whole. It goes elegantly with the gouvernail side table. The four layers of varnish in a warm walnut stain protect the wood and improve its durability. I used very fine sandpaper between each layer, achieving a polished and smooth surface while preserving the texture of the wood and natural elements to the touch.
