Old hand-carved wooden tricycle

Beautiful old wooden tricycle carved by hand, with metal wheels and gears and in very good condition. The tricycle is dated to about 1900 (between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century) and is a very charming piece, a nostalgic object, it must have been ordered for a very young child, about 2 years old, something unusual because as a rule, the rear wheels of other similar ones are larger, this small size is rare, a detail that makes it special and rare. The body of the tricycle is a beautiful wooden horse, very well carved and proportioned and with all the details. The horse is complete and in good condition, with occasional restorations of the painting. It is attached to the mechanism of the tricycle, formed by the bars, gears, pedals and wheels. Although this room is intended for decoration, it can still be used by a little one to move. Carved in wood, you can see the harnesses, the leather saddle carved with floral motifs, the quilted blanket on which it is placed, the expressive eyes of the horse and its facial features. The mane or tail is made of natural horsehair. The rim of the wheel is made of wood and is supported by an iron spoke structure. The wheels are connected to a structure of welded bars, provided with plates attached to the animal. The front pedals work well, as does the steering; the axis of this piece passes through the neck of the horse and opens above the head, where the handlebars are with their two handlebars. Iron items are in good condition. Well preserved and somewhat restored to minimize the passage of over a hundred years. Measurements: Length 57cm. Height 49cm. Width 28cm.
