"Rainbow Sommerso" ashtray / Murano, 1960s

Superb ashtray in very thick faceted Sommerso glass, made in Murano in the 1960s. Its composition plays on a succession of colored layers – a deep red center, surrounded by an amber halo, then a thick turquoise wall with luminous reflections. The geometric design with sharp edges creates a play of prisms and transparencies, highlighting the richness of the colors depending on the light and viewing angle.
