This chest of drawers dates from the 1930s-40s. It is indeed characteristic of the transitional period between late Art Deco and mid-20th century modernism. You can see the softened and rounded edges, the round brass knobs, and the so-called 'moustache' feet. It was sourced in the Paris region, thoroughly cleaned and sanded, then protected with a care oil. Despite the care taken in its renovation, the top, too damaged, had to be painted. It is in the colour R406 L'Alchimiste from Ressource Paints, a current gilded shade that echoes its slightly golden knobs and gives it a vibrant touch. Its drawer fronts are made of wood veneer. This style of chest of drawers is a rather rare and exclusive piece. You will appreciate its elegance, softness, and personality. It will bring authenticity, character, and a lovely retro chic touch to your interior.
