Rope mirror by Audoux-Minnet 1950

A lively oval mirror, made of rope, designed by Adrien Audoux and Frida Minnet for Meubles Audoux-Minnet (Golfe-Juan, France), a must-have from the French Riviera style of the 1950s! Entirely made of braided ropes, shaped like a stylised horse harness, with 2 brass rings and patterns in havana-coloured coated fabric applied with brass upholstery nails. All original, with a lovely patina of time. Ropes in warm ochre colour. H 64cm to 70cm, W 37cm. Weight 2.850 kg. Central oval mirror, H33 cm X W18 cm. The back is covered with original jute fabric, in very good condition. A metal ring on the back for hanging. A classic of vintage Provençal design.
