Glass Vintage tumbler in blue bubbled glass from BIOT H6.5cm tealight holder

This lovely tumbler is made of light blue bubbled glass. This glass can be used for strong alcohols: liqueurs, arranged rums, cognac. They can also be used as a tealight holder. These glasses are mouth-blown using a traditional technique characteristic of biot glassworks. At the base, you can see the trace of the breakage of the cane to blow the glass. Biot bubbled glass has existed since 1956, when glassmakers succeeded in creating bubbled glass: by controlling the bubble, trapping it between two layers of glass, thus making a defect a quality. Between tradition and creation, each biot glassware is unique, because it is mouth-blown by master glassmakers. Depending on the season, the products come in all colors: sand pink, lime green, amethyst, persian blue... Pastel and sparkling colors at the same time. In good condition, this cup measures approximately 6.5 cm in height. It is not signed and there is a small chip next to the trace of the blowing rod.
