Pair of Hans-Agne Jakobsson suspensions for Markaryd AB, 1960s

A brass pendant lamp set by the famous swedish designer hans-agne jakobsson for the lamp manufacturer markaryd ab in the 1960s. Hans-agne jakobsson was one of the most prolific lamp designers from the 1950s to the 1970s. He was one of the foremost designers of scandinavian lighting, along with designers such as poul henningsen, paavo tynell, greta magnusson-grossman and jo hammerborg. This model has a beautiful and rare small brass pendant and we have put two of them together as a set. The simple design with a bulbous end gives the lamps a simple but stylish appearance. The lamps are still in very good condition, with patinated brass and some signs of wear.
