Bedside lamp, turned wooden base and hand-drawn lampshade. France, circa 1970. Solid turned wood base, oval shape, honey patina. Original white socket. White cord with switch and European plug. Conical lampshade in ecru fabric, hand-illustrated in black ink with a circus procession: Pierrot with a ruff and beret, bear in a ruff on his unicycle, juggling seal on her striped pedestal, elephant balancing on a ball, ringmaster in a top hat, moustache and whip, all under garlands of bunting and balloons, sprinkled with small stars.
