Rare large Dantoft “Sunburst” wall lamp / black / copper / mid-century design / 1960s

1960s, Dantoft, Denmark. Very rare Sunburst wall lamp in an extra-large size. Handcrafted steel construction. Heavy-duty quality. Like other metal sculptures by the manufacturer Dantoft, these wall sconces are attributed by many dealers and collectors to the designer Svend Aage Holm Sørensen. However, there is no evidence to support these attributions. This piece is more of a light sculpture than a light source. It does not produce a great deal of light, but in an otherwise dark room, the shadow it casts on the wall is spectacular (see photos). E14 socket (110–250V, suitable for worldwide use). Comes with a cord switch (design: Achille Castiglioni), textile cord (approx. 230 cm), and a Euro plug. This lamp can also be connected to a wall outlet (by a qualified electrician). Dimensions: approx. 50 cm diameter, approx. 13 cm depth. Used item. In very good condition. No defects. Only minimal signs of aging and wear. See photos.
