Sun loungers, yes — but those that suggest a terrace by the lake rather than a caravan site. Imagine yourself sitting in one, a good drink in hand, enjoying the sun with your Italian sunglasses. Yes, that's it... It's a pair of folding chairs by Reguitti, the manufacturer from Brescia who spent the post-war decades quietly patenting his way through Italian folding furniture (124 patents between 1946 and 1966, if you're interested — more than Fiat). Even Ico Parisi and Gio Ponti designed for Reguitti over the years, which only illustrates their quality and style. Solid beech wood, warm honey finish. Slatted backrest, comfortably slightly curved seats, and generously wide flat armrests. The scissor mechanism is reinforced with aluminium spacers and finely machined corner caps — the kind of detail that explains why these still open and close properly fifty years later, while their contemporaries have gone to the dump. Both chairs bear the gold "R _eguitti — Made in Italy'_ mark on the back. And when we say "Made in Italy", you already feel a bit warmer, even without the sun. Excellent vintage condition: clear and even finish, tight joints, smoothly functioning mechanisms. Sturdy enough to be actually used, beautiful enough that you wouldn't want to fold them. Which is rather the point. The dimensions (L X H X D): 62 X 72 X 66 cm - seat height: 43 cm. The price is for the pair.
