Solid teak Danish extendable dining table, 1960s

Elegant vintage dining table, made entirely of solid teak, with a round top that can be extended to a generous oval table using an extension leaf. A characterful design where the warm appearance of the wood and a clear, functional design come together. The tabletop has beautifully rounded edges and showcases the natural grain of the solid teak. The extension leaf is also made entirely of solid teak, giving the table a solid and high-quality look. Notable are the two sculptural bases with their wide, flared feet and smoothly rounded connections. These give the design a powerful yet airy appearance and provide plenty of legroom around the table. In its round form, the table is suitable for daily use in a compact dining area. With the extension leaf, it becomes a spacious oval dining table that can accommodate a larger group. The table has been carefully restored and is in very good vintage condition, with only a few subtle traces that match the age and character of the solid wood.
