Vintage 1920s barber triptych mirror in gold faux green crocodile - 37 x 87 cm

Antique barber hairdresser triptych mirror in gilded brass and green crocodile imitation circa 1920 in good condition. A very rare model in gold color it may have been gilded with gold leaf if we believe the shine of the tin. The mirrors are very marked, the one in the middle has a chip at the top left but although visible, the chip is on the inside. The back in imitation crocodile is clean although it is quite marked on the central panel. These mirrors which were used for shaving (my great grandfather used one daily) are typically french, there are none elsewhere to our knowledge. The style is clearly from the beginning of the 20th century, the hinges are sturdy. The clasp, the feet and the chain are still in place, it can be hung or placed. Each panel measures 34×28cm (37×28 feet included) and the whole deployed measures 34×87cm (37×87cm with the feet).
