Acanthus de Malicorne earthenware dish, 18th century

Spectacular centerpiece in white malicorne earthenware from the bourg joly workshop, 1747, still in production. The supple and lively shape, entirely hand-modeled, the soft, milky matte glaze, the interesting proportions, a sublime little masterpiece. This one is old, with wear on some points and traces of probable cutlery on the thick glaze. 39cm X 31cm X 6cm. Irresistible presence.
