Christofle champagne bucket

Silver-plated ice bucket from the 1950s and 1960s. Made by the silversmith christofle for le grand hôtel in vittel, a spa town since 1855. It bears the monogram of the société des eaux minérales de vittel, inserted into the hotel's mosaics. The number 5 is also hammered below the monogram. It would have been used at table number 5 in the restaurant or in room number 5. Built in 1912, le grand hôtel has been a listed historical monument since 1990. Hallmarks and mark of the silversmith christofle under the bucket. Rings serving as handles on each side. Good condition, scratches from use, wear to the scratches of the hammered decoration at the top and a small dent at the bottom, oxidation at the bottom of the bucket. Dimensions: height 21 cm, diameter with handles 23.5 cm. Total weight without packaging 1.4 kg. Recycled packaging.
