We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent original double-sided desk in Dutch mahogany and Victorian period materials. This library desk or partner's desk is fully stamped. A very rare and luxurious desk made by one of the two best cabinetmakers in British history. The desk is double-sided with full-size drawers, with no wasted space. The middle drawer on the left is stamped Holland and Sons, and the locks bear the correct stamps of the period. The castors are stamped Cope & Collingson, renowned manufacturers of Victorian castors. The desk is in generally good condition, in its original unrestored state with the original finish, simply cleaned, waxed, and polished. The patina is entirely period-appropriate. The burgundy leather top is in good condition and complements the mahogany wood well. Normal patina marks are present due to age and use. Dimensions: height 75.5 cm, width 182 cm, depth 120.5 cm. This piece of furniture is available for collection from our warehouse in Wimbledon SW19-3BE.
