Pair of Voltaire armchairs

Pair of voltaire armchairs made by a craftsman from the faubourg st antoine in paris. Louis philippe style. Solid walnut carcass. Total high: 114. Larg file: 81. Wide seat: 64 X 52. Old-fashioned manufacture with horsehair on springs, jute and interlining sewn at the point of scale and knotted... Finishes with a broken fabric of old pink velvet. A very nice manufacture to hold in time. Impeccable seating. The fiddle-shaped backrest is slightly inclined and high, promotes rest and head holding. The backrest has a slight arch at the lumbar in order to marry them. The console and cuff armrests are padded with horsehair and higher than on a traditional chair. The seat, thanks to its old-fashioned manufacture to avoid deformation over time, is pleasant. - one of the two armchairs, has a peculiarity which makes it its rarity; its rack and pinion backrest in the cuffs, tilts low enough to turn it into a kind of deckchair.
