Anvia wall lamp Hoogervorst white orange 60s

A wall lamp that not only provides light but activates the wall. This sculptural wall lamp was designed in the 60s by Hoogervorst for the Dutch Anvia. The design consists of folded sheet steel, powder-coated in bright white with warm orange accents. The horizontal elements appear to float as separate planes from the wall, creating a rhythmic buildup of depth and shadow in between. When the lamp is lit, a layered light image emerges. The light is dispersed both upwards and downwards, subtly reflecting off the white planes. The orange interior gives a warm glow that softens the sharp lines. During the day, it's a graphic object; in the evening, it's an atmospheric maker. We have carefully cleaned and treated the lamp in our studio with metal wax. The technique has been checked, the cord has been replaced, and fitted with a new switch. The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition and is ready to use immediately. A characterful piece of Dutch design that effortlessly combines with a minimalist, mid-century, or modern interior.
