Fishing storage box fishing stool

This magnificent fishing box which also serves as a stool will find multiple functions in your interior while being very decorative: storage and extra seating in a bedroom, sewing box or small DIY or creative leisure equipment, storage for shoe polish and brushes in an entrance hall… It is really charming with its black and red skai seat and its front face covered with a cane of flat wicker strands. It has a small sticker that I chose to leave because it is also part of the history of this object. It has 4 compartments, the two at the top are not very thick, one is divided thanks to removable wooden slats. As is the slightly deeper one, just below. And finally the box at the bottom offers a substantial space. It also has a shoulder strap, perhaps not original. I made a small repair to the wood under a hinge (twisted hinge which had torn off a piece of wood) and inserted a small piece of wicker to hide a break on a strand. I cleaned it carefully, dusting it off then cleaning it with a brush and soapy water. This chest must date from the 70s. It is in good general condition, solid, clean, odorless, but obviously it has some signs of use and the patina of time: the skai has a very small tear on one corner, the metal parts have corrosion which remains superficial (it will only evolve if you put this chest in a humid place, you will then have to protect the metal with a specialized product), and some various marks on the wood. It measures 38 cm by 26 cm for a height of 40 cm.
