French wooden element with lion heads, 18th century

French wooden element with lion heads, from the 18th century. This carving/column with 4 carved lion heads above an arch with shell motif. Presumably this was part of a larger whole of which the rest has probably perished. The pedestal was placed underneath later as well as the gray painting that is also partly coming loose again.
