Old pair of theater chairs

Pair of napoleon III style gilded wood theater chairs. Completely in their original condition with traces of their use. The seat is period, upholstered, camel/old gold colored fabric (it has some stains and pilling which gives a darker appearance to the fabric than its original). Two bars/side crosspieces seem to have been changed (less bright gold tint). The gold patina is not uniform and reveals the wood in some places and a yellow background paint. A few holes from small woodworms. One seat has been reinforced on the reverse. The chairs remain solid and functional. Seat height 44cm. Ref 448/20.
