Set of 5 industrial '214 Gispen' armchairs with black Bakelite armrests. A special Dutch design by Christoffel Hoffman for B.P.M., which was founded in 1907 and was the precursor to Royal Dutch Shell. The interesting aspect of this design is that the sled base in tubing ends with a handle above the backrest, giving them an industrial appearance. The chairs bear a B.P.M. mark under the seat.
